But I was informed by him on the following morning that my order had been countermanded by one from Mr. Rahman to the effect that the list must not be hung up that evening as usual, but on the following morning.
The coolie likewise told me that Mr. Wise already knew of the matter, as he saw the coolie hanging up the frame with the list in it.
